To get better at pvping your class you need to do a few things. The primary thing is to be better at your own class and there is only one way of doing that - play it like you mean it. Log countless raids until you know every ability that your class can do.
When you feel experienced ehough with your class it is time to start learning! Boring but oh so usefull. Knowing your enemies tricks better than they do is key to getting an advantage. When faced with a Shaman that knows all your abilities it gets down to whom can counter the other player best.
In raids you do well to know your class to the fullest but also what and why the other classes are doing what they are doing. Communicating with to your class leader and most of all asking your class leader questions is a quick method of knowing your class to the fullest.
Highly important in raiding is patience and if you master that as a individual you will quickly advance in your guild ranks.
